Undeterred by the failure of the Eagle, Brass Eagle returned with 'Golden Eagle', a massive, chunky, and imposing marker. Functionally, they appear to have simply scaled everything up until the blowback action worked suitably, including the Sear mechanism. The inverted pyramid the grip frame is mounted to, is entirely dedicated to the pushrod and sear assembly. In spite of all its bulk and metal, it still manages to be somewhat fragile in operation. The valve assembly is not effectively held in place, when compared with the impact of the hammer. Over time the blowback action pushes the valve and damages the threads and screws holding the valve in place.
